Original M/65 greatcoats of Finnish Army.
Finnish Army modernized the coat M/36, in order to keep the soldiers warm, and protect them for elements, army decided to manufacture an marginally different woolen greatcoat, that was the best available domestic material. These coats replaced some of the M/36 coats, but the war time greatcoats were widely in use until early 80´s when modern materials became more suited for military use.
The M/65 greatcoat was held as reservist equipent, but army decided to scrap them in early 2000, we just found a small portion of these from our own warehouse ( yes there is lots of stuff in there ), so enjoy, these are possibly the last ones in the market.
Most of these are unissued and have the Gvt. Uniform factory labels on them, some are depot stored and only very fine in condition.
There are differences on the color of the wool, there is two rows of plastic Lion buttons on the chest of the coat, and some have the buttons on cuffs ready for rank badges, the buttons on cuffs may vary, if the buttons are missing from cuffs, or you wish to have spare buttons, we have some of them in stock.
The jacket also has belt loops for leather belt, or canvas belt.
The sizes are in Finnish army standards.
Size 50 (S)= chest 100cm
Size 52 (M)= chest 104cm
.And so on....
The average height 170-180cm is required for the coat, but ofc it is easy to shorten the hem and sleeves...
The measure of chest is assuming you have also regular uniform under the coat, so there is a little bit more size than the numbers are stating.
Weight is 2-3kg, depending size.
NOTICE!
The wool will set to your size in few months of use.
Nyt piti tilata varuiksi toinenkin että ei käy niin jotta eka menee pilalle ja ei enää löydä mistään uutta
