Finnish army linen towel.
Original finnish army towel, thick linen, SA L+V 1941 stamps. It is a rare treat to obtain nice conditioned 1941 linen.
These towel were manufactured most likely during the war for medical use.
Linen ( Flax plant fibre ) has unique antibacterial properties, the fibre is very durable, and the colth feels cool and fresh even when damp.
SA L+V stamp means Finnish Army Medical corps.
Most of these are possibly unissued, and the likely manufacturer for these is Finlayson, some are wrinkled and have some slight discoloration from exposure to light.
Red stripes and beautiful decorative weave suggest these were for officers or doctors.
