Gas Mask M/36, unissued, mint.
Rare, mint gas mask, year stamp 1944, just opened zink box.
Something rare form the history, 1944 gas masks from an unopened zink chest.
The mask in swedish M/36, thousands of these were bought to Finland during the 1939-1945 wars, for home guards, civil defense and armed forces. The mask is very common in pictures of the time.
As we opened a chest full of masks, we also opened a valve box, and a box of filters, all these items have been in sealed, air-proof conditions for the last 75 years or so.
These masks are like new, straps are elastic, the mask smells of rubber, and the sim is soft and untarnished. Despite all the good condition, the mask should never be used as protective gear as there is no way to tell what has happened to the materials during the long period of storage time.
The masks are sold without filter, should you wish to have unissued original filter for collectible purposes, we will se it on condition the cap is never opened and filter is never used, there might be some very nasty stuff inside it.
The packing slip indicates there might be different sizes, but most of the slip is gone and the markings are unreadable, we sell sell these as they are, there is a folded neck strap that seems to have possible cuts ready for extra length.
The thread of the filter is same as most modern masks have, so new filters are abundant.
We got these after quite complicated series of deals, these were stored at the attic of a home guard house for decades, and nobody knew about them. there was other stuff too, but these masks might be the last mint, perfect condition gear left from the 1939-45 wars.
Weight: 450g ( without filter )
Olny for collectible purposes, use as a protective gear is prohibited.
